She will be 2 in December and this is her first Halloween since she was sick last year and couldn’t go.
I can do homemade if someone gives me instructions but keep in mind that I don’t have a sewing machine or access to one.
It’s always a struggle to get her to wear a hat or a hood so we can’t do anything like headbands or anything, she would just take them off.
Any ideas?

Something easy and you can make at home is a lady bug. Get some black pants (warm if its cold or tights if its warm enough), a red shirt (again a sweater or t shirt) in a size a little bit bigger than her and you’ll want a shirt underneath – you’ll see later. Then you can get some fabric paint or felt circles and glue on black dots all over. If you want you can make some wings for her back out of an old wire coat hanger and black panty hose but it is not necessary for the outfit. Then to make the outfit complete – if she’ll let you tie off the bottom of the large shirt with some string – You could open the bottom seam of the shirt a little an feed the string through the hem so you don’t see it), then stuff the shirt with news paper to give her a puffy look. Finish it off with black shoes if you have them and a trick or treat bucket and your all set!

I work at a Halloween store and we have a good selection of baby and toddlers costumes, but not a very good selection of newborn costumes. My baby will be a little over a month when Halloween rolls around. Do you know of any sites with cute NEWBORN costumes, or have any ideas of something him and I can be together? I could always make him a costume.
Im going too do the same thing for my sons costum that my mom did for my little sister when she was a newborn, get a plain white onesie and sew some black spots on it and then get some black sweat pants, he has lots of both, and sew some white spots on that, then take a white hat and sew 2 black socks on it. and add white spots, and ta da its a dalmation. xD
my babby will be that same age as my little sister was on halloween when she was little. aittle over 5months.
