We’re trying to find a good fancy dress theme for a birthday party in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions?
I don’t know how old you are or exactly how fancy you had in mind, but for my sweet sixteen, I had a runway/modeling kinda themed party. I rolled out a red carpet and put up some strobe lights and fog machines. I also put out tons of disposable cameras for each guest to put their names on. I had chocolate fountains and an oxygen bar. I set the dress code at semiformal. It wasn’t too expensive but it was fun.

ohhh, i always wanted to have a party for my girlfriends where we either wear our wedding dress or a old prom dress! (you always want to wear those dresses again but never have any place to wear them! unless you wear it while vacuuming your house!!!lol- I swear I don’t do that!!!!)- but how fun would that be- an adult prom! have the guys in suits or rent tuxes, girls in a prom or fancy dress, they can buy each other corsages and boutonnieres and you can have a king and queen of your party! have crowns and make sashes for the winners! you can even take prom pictures in front of some kind of backdrop that you made! you can even pick some kind of theme to revolve around your prom like "Under the Sea" or even your old school colors!

You could make it all flappers-fancy flapper dresses
Have a cocktail party…where the sexy little black dress works great!
You could have a "GOLDEN GLOBES" or "Oscars" party, roll out a fake red carpet and wear your REALLY fancy dresses.
"Lady in Red" wear fancy red dresses or whatever
"Casino Royal 007" theme would be good….the girl in that movie wore some AWESOME dresses during the poker showdown!
